There are 4 painters without a weaving partner. They are: Helen Wiebe (a waterclourist), Jean Allan, Yvonne Gibbon, and Val Perry. I do not know the work of the last 3. If any of the Weavers are interested who do not already have a partner, they can call Marg Threlfall for information on them. Her phone number is 537-4535.

To All Guild Members,
Hope you all are excited about the Fall Fair. This years theme is "A Timeless Tradition". That is perfect for weaving. I am putting together a video for the fall fair. I am setting up appointments to go studios so I will be calling. People with livestock I will focus on this time of year. As I am doing a video on the steps of processing wool, with a focus on children doing the activities. Some of children from the weaving program are excited about a day on Susan Astill's family farm watchin shearing and cleaning wool. (Thank-you Susan). Plus I will be getting the same children from last year involved this year in the video process. It helps when my friends have kids. I use the kids for having fun and then they go back to their parents to be fed and clothed and all that expensive stuff.
I am doing two videos one for the fall fair the process of weaving, Plus I am doing a biography of the guild. As I haven't had time to go to meetings this can be my contribution this year. So beware I will be coming to film you and your farms, studios and memories of the guild.
I may not get to everyone this year for the guild biography but I will make sure to get to everyone in the next two years.
Hope everyone is preparing for the fall fair. I had tons of positive feedback about the entries last year. You all really did a great job, looking forward to the same effort this year.
Thank-you, Charlene
